Maintain Historical Plantings around the Sunset Beach Education Center

Years of neglect have caused the landscaping around the Yeon house to become terribly overgrown and weedy. Mature shrubs and tree specimens are in great need of multiple years of pruning to get them back into good shape. Some specimens will need to be replaced entirely. Beds of annuals have been overgrown with weeds and need to be replanted. Both the Yeon house, also known as the Sunset Beach Education Center, and it's surrounding landscaped grounds, were deemed ineligible for listing as historic properties under the National Register. There is currently no management plan for the property. The proposed work will spruce up the grounds while a long term management plan is being developed.
