Chimborazo Park & Visitor Center Community Input Questionnaire

Topic Questions:
1. How often do you visit Chimborazo Park and the Visitor Center of Richmond National Battlefield Park?
2. What memories do you have visiting Chimborazo Park? What memories do you have visiting Chimborazo Visitor Center?
3. What does Chimborazo Park mean to you?
4. What additional stories related to the site's history would you like to see showcased or featured at the museum or park? Examples include but are not limited to: pre-Civil War history of the Chimborazo Hill site, post-Civil War history, the history of the city park, the history of the museum, women's history, African American history, Native American history, community memories/testimonies, etc.
5. How would you like to see certain stories of the site's history represented inside and outside of the building? Examples for indoor exhibits include but are not limited to: interactive exhibits with audio, visual, and/or physical interaction; multiple temporary exhibits that showcase local and community institutions, local artists, and/or certain topics; formal talks by rangers, scholars and community speakers, etc.
Examples for outdoor exhibitions include walking tours (digital or in person), outdoor signage, memorials, and/or markers, etc.
6. What would you like to see more of at Chimborazo Park as an outdoor visitor?
Examples include but are not limited to: trees, landscaping, walking trail, interpretive signs, contemplative spaces such as benches, etc.
7. Would you like to see any specific events or activities hosted in the park? If so, please describe your ideas here. Examples include but are not limited to: community events such as festivals, picnics, neighborhood meetings, clean-ups, etc.; formal presentations, walking tours, and/or other educational events
