The National Park Service has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Fort Caroline Exhibit Relocation Environmental Assessment (EA). The FONSI, which describes the selected action and explains why the selected action will have no significant effects on the natural, cultural, or human environment, concludes the planning and environmental compliance process for the project to relocate the Fort Caroline Memorial exhibit.

The EA evaluated the potential impacts of relocating the Fort Caroline Memorial exhibit on the surrounding environment and suggested alternatives and mitigations. The EA analyzed two alternatives on how best to address future flooding and storm impacts to the Fort Caroline Memorial exhibit. The EA also analyzed the impacts to the natural and cultural resources, and visitor experience from each alternative.
