Replace Big Stump Entrance Station, Kings Canyon National Park

The environmental assessment for replacing the Big Stump Entrance Station is now available for public review. The purpose of this project is to replace the Big Stump entrance station with a fully functional facility to better serve visitor and employee needs at this busy entrance to both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and to Giant Sequoia National Monument in the Sequoia National Forest.

The environmental assessment analyzes three alternatives, including no action alternative A that would involve continuing to maintain the two interim summer and winter entrance station locations. The action alternatives B, C, and D propose different locations at which to locate the new entrance station.
