Plan Visitor Facilities

The National Park Service (NPS) is beginning a planning process to determine the most appropriate location for the new visitor center at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park. The existing visitor center is located in the center of the revolutionary war battlefield and is a modern intrusion in the historic setting. The NPS has identified three preliminary alternative site locations for the relocation of the visitor center. The potential sites include the Colonial Heritage Center, the British Lake site, and the Lawndale site.
