Please join park staff and planners to learn about the Freedom Riders National Monument Bus Burning Site Master Plan / Environmental Assessment, which is open for public comment between Aug. 25 and Sept. 24, 2025. Park staff and planners will discuss the future vision for the site's management and landscape, and you can share your thoughts with the planning team on the plan's content. The event will also include a presentation on the lasting impact of the Freedom Rides and reflection about the parks planning effort by Freedom Rider Carol Ruth Silver, author of "Freedom Rider Diary - Smuggled Notes from Parchman Prison".
