The listing of the availability of the FMP Final EIS in the Federal Register by the Environmental Protection Agency was published on December 23, 2005. The Record of Decision (ROD), documenting the National Park Service decision on the Fire Management Plan, was signed by the Pacific West Region Deputy Director on 2/24/06 and published in the Federal Register on 3/29/06. The ROD documents the alternative selected by the NPS, the process by which the selection was made and the mitigation measures the NPS will use to protect the environment during implementation. The Planning Process for the FMP is completed.
