Great Basin National Park is in the process of planning for potential development of the Strawberry Creek area of the park. The planning process follows the steps laid out the in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969.

Step 2. Conduct internal scoping and identify issues
Step 3. Identify environmental impacts and develop alternatives
Step 4. Refine proposed action and alternatives
Step 5. Prepare Environmental Assessment
Step 6. Public review of Environmental Assessment
Step 7. Analysis of public comments
Step 8. Prepare Finding of No Significant Impact *
Step 9. Release Finding of No Significant Impact to the public
Based upon internal review and public comments, the park is currently preparing a Finding of No Significant Impact for the proposed action.
