The purpose of the proposed Lamar River Bridge project within Yellowstone is to maintain a river crossing of the Lamar River while traveling the Northeast Entance Road.

The National Park Service has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. The NPS is soliciting public comments on the EA for the next 30 days.

The public comment period ends September 25, 2009. Public comments will be accepted through this website (preferred), may be hand-delivered to the park's headquarters in Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming, or may be mailed to:
