Rocky Mountain NP » Develop Programmatic Agreement for Housing Improvements at Rocky Mountain National Park

The National Park Service is planning a Programmatic Agreement (PA) among the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, the Colorado State Historic Preservation Officer, and the National Park Service at Rocky Mountain National Park regarding compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as it pertains to Rocky Mountain National Park. The PA scope is related to future housing projects and related infrastructure (including landscapes, roads, and utilities), including repairs and rehabilitations, replacement, and new construction. Specific details and phasing of these projects is as yet undetermined. The purpose of this Housing PA is to facilitate the Section 106 consultation process for future projects and review these projects as efficiently as possible. The park is aiming to complete the development of this agreement in 2026.

Per 36 CFR § 800.6 (a)(4), the park is providing an opportunity for members of the public to comment on the programmatic agreement. Use the links at the left to review and provide comments.
