The Superintendent of Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Pine Springs, Texas invites you to comment on the Frijole Ranch Development Complex Plan & Environmental Assessment, a proposed project at a popular historic site within the park. The park is evaluating two action alternatives for the project and one no action alternative. The two action alternatives involve creating a new parking and picnic area adjacent to the historic district with shade structures and a rest room, installing culverts in the road for drainage, installing an accessible walkway from the proposed picnic area to the ranch, and building a new barn for the mule operation. There are differences between the alternatives, which are discussed at length in the environmental assessment.
